Abstracts will be evaluated on technical quality and appropriateness of subject matter and should include all key points that will be addressed in the proposed presentation.
Abstracts submitted must follow the Abstract Guidelines. Abstract should be clear and concise and no more than 300 words. Please submit all abstract with the Abstract Submission Form.
ABSTRACT DUE DATE: JUNE 25, 2010
ABSTRACT GUIDELINES
- TITLE OF PAPER: The title is entirely capitalized, with the exception of scientific names, which should be upper/lower case and italicized. Scientific names should not be preceded or followed by commas or parentheses or other markings.
- AUTHOR NAME(S), AFFILIATION, AND ADDRESS: The first name should be the presenting author.
- MAXIMUM LENGTH: One page
- PAGE SIZE: Standard 8.5 x 11 inch paper (portrait)
- MARGINS: 1-inch margin throughout (left/right/top/bottom)
- SPACING: Single-spaced
- PARAGRAPHS: Paragraphs should not be separated by a blank line and should be indented.
- FONTS: Character fonts should be 12-point type, Times New Roman
- Refer to sample abstract for correct format
Please include your complete contact information as well as a brief biography of the presenter highlighting career and presentation experience.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION PROCEDURE. Do ONE of the following:
- Use our ON LINE form
- VIA EMAIL. Download and fully complete the ABSTRACT SUBMITTAL FORM and send it and your abstract to both stu.buckner@compostingcouncil.org and uscc@compostingcouncil.org
- ON COMPUTER DISK: You may also submit your abstract on a labeled CD, saved in the original word processing software (preferably Word). Be sure to include the type of software, the version number and the format (either PC or MAC) on the CD. Be sure to include a fully completed Abstract Submission Form
Authors will be notified in August 2009 regarding the status of their submitted abstracts.
