STA Certified Compost
Benefits For Compost Manufacturers
Confidence- Our STA Certified Compost program helps you create confidence in your product for your customers by:
A. What compost is.
B. What types of compost test results are best for which use- through the Compost Consumer Use Program (CCUP).
2. Permits: Ensuring manufacturers are in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and permitting.
3. Quality: Holding compost to high standards for:
A. Labs: Creating STA Compost-Certified Labs for testing. These labs use our carefully prepared TMECC test methods and are held to high standards through the STA’s CAP program that tests the labs against each other.
B. Frequency: Ensuring compost products are tested frequently, according to the frequency determined by the annual wet tonnage manufactured. Manufacturer and US Composting Council both receive the test results directly from the labs.
