The compost industry may have been around since the 1990s (and composting, since the beginning of time!) but as consumer products have changed over the decades, their implications have been felt by composters. From our work to limit persistent herbicides that don’t break down even with the best compost practices to our opposition to the ubiquitous PFAS that are found in everything in some measure—including compost—we are fighting for our industry.
