FAC.119-Planning and Development of a Public Compost Facility-AC24.USCC
Description |
The Southeastern Connecticut Regional Resources Recovery Authority (SCRRRA) manages waste and recycling services for twelve municipalities. Following the closure of a major waste-to-energy facility in 2022, leading to waste being sent out of state, SCRRRA is planning a regional compost facility to manage organic waste. This initiative aims to produce high-quality compost for local use and support community gardens and beautification projects.
